RELEASE 2.2 - Payroll Module
In this update, we've moved the EFS card loads to the new Payroll module.
The procedure for loading the cards is also been streamlined. There are a lot less calls to the server which should provide a speedier experience. We've also fixed a few key usability bugs which were messing up the To Load lists in IE.
EFS Activity Viewer
One of the biggest advantages of using the WSO EFS Card Loader, besides a huge time savings, is that we have a very accurate record of our card loads; down to the second and penny. To get the most from these records, we've implemented an fully interactive viewer/report generator for the EFS card loads.

- Fully filterable by Batch Number, Terminal, Driver and Loader
- Completely Sortable by any column
- Printed version automatically mimics the on screen filters and sorts
There are also a few more updates. Full changes after the jump.

Friday Fun: New Previous Employment Interface
Happy Friday Everyone!
One of the biggest bottlenecks on our entire website is the input and verification of Previous Employment information by online applicants.
When we created the previous employment section of the application, it wasn't feasible to really spend the time to make this the way we wanted. However now that the whole application is up and running, I'm able to take the time (a week and counting) to get this a lot better.
So, you want to see the prototype?
Check it out.

You can drag the sliders to change the employment dates and also drag the whole company boxes to rearrange the employment order.
You'll see red boxes appear when there are gaps in employment greater than a month.
The companies have to be in order to really get applicants thinking about their employment time line. The thinking is that when the applicants actually see two jobs placed next to each other on the page which weren't consecutive in real life, red flags will raise and it will be easier to get through the Previous Employment section.
Please send your comments, rants, suggestions to cases@wallstreetsystemsinc.com.
Thanks. Happy playing.

RELEASE 2.1 - Compliance & Corrective Actions
This update is pretty big.
First, the Corrective Actions are now working. We had some trouble with the back end and the OS on the web server. So, I decided to go with a more rudimentary approach for the time being. Eventually, we will update the web server and get these newer techniques (and thus more streamlined interface) in place.
The Corrective Actions are created by type. The Corrective Action Types define the Responsible User and the due date of each Corrective Action (These can also be manually tweaked); as well as the name and description.
Corrective Actions are assigned to drivers only, as we do not keep track of Risk Management points for trucks or truck owners.
Corrective Actions can also be linked to any Incident for the same driver. This will allow us to record how we react to each incident.
All corrective actions have a due date and a responsible user. The corrective action should be taken by the responsible user before or on the due date. Generally, responsible users are in the Safety department.
Notifications will be sent in accordance with the Corrective Actions reminder schedule which can be set in your user preferences.
Corrective Actions can be completed by clicking on them on the Risk Management page and then clicking the 'Complete' button.
The other big update is the addition of the Compliance tracking system. This system gives each agent direct access to the compliance status of each driver and truck updated in real time. The Compliance system will also sent notification reminders 2 weeks before, 1 week before, on the exact due date and every 3 days overdue.
For the next update, we will be giving the online application a bit of an overhaul with a specific focus on streamlining the interface and previous employment entry.
Full Changes after the jump.

HOTFIX 05082009 - Corrective Action Reminders
This is a small hotfix with no new functionality or apparent fixes to users. There was an error in the cron script when no Corrective Actions exist for reminders to be sent. It's fixed and updated.

RELEASE 2.0 - What's Happening?
2.0 has some great new features, like the What's Happening? notification system, limited support for Corrective Actions in Risk Management, new bug tracking, hazmat endorsement on the Online Application and a printable Terminal List.
The What's Happening? system is one we've talked about before here. It is a way to keep users of the website informed when information on the site changes. We will also use this system to send alerts and reminders for future systems.
What's Happening? breaks down into 2 basic forms. The first is the 'On=Page' notifications. These will appear on the Wall Street Online (WSO) homepage below the 'Welcome!' test and above the four large shortcut buttons. These will appear in chronological order with the oldest at the top. There is a small 'X' button on each notification. When clicked, the 'X' button dismisses the notification as being read. The notification will not appear again and, if an e-mail notification has not already been sent, no e-mail will be sent.
That brings us to the second type of notification, the E-mail Notifications. E-mails are sent out once an hour for all notifications which haven't already had an e-mail sent. Before e-mails are submitted, similar notifications are consolidated into one notification. This should help limit the number of e-mails any one user will receive. Any one notification will only generate one e-mail, even if the 'On-Page' notification is not dismissed.
There is also some limited support for Corrective Actions. Compliance Administrators can define the types of Corrective Actions available. However, we are not able to add new corrective actions at this time. There is a technology conflict on the web server. As soon as that is resolved, we will be able to add Corrective Actions.
We have started a new bug tracking system called FogBugz. This will allow anyone to send a bug report via e-mail. Plus you will get e-mail letting you know the status of your bug. The e-mail address to send bug reports to is cases@wallstreetonline.fogbugz.com. There is a 'Report Bugs' link on the bottom left of every WSO page and on the Help Desk page as well.
There is a new field on the Full Online Driver Application: HazMat Endorsement. This is a check box which applicants can check if they have a HazMat endorsement on their CDL. The check box is located on the first page of the the Full App directly under the CDL info.
The Terminal List is now available to print for all agents. Agents may also edit their own information. So, if someone gets a new phone number or address, simply update it online and through the What's Happening? system, everyone appropriate will be notified.
That's about it for the goodies. Full Change list after the jump.
